1. Belonging Through Our College Model
Our distinctive college model ensures that each student is part of a smaller, caring community – Angelou, Caxton, Hansard, Equiano, or Woolf College. This structure creates a strong sense of belonging, individual care, and shared responsibility, allowing us to know and support every child.

As an IB World School, we deliver the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) in Years 7–9, nurturing inquisitive, reflective, and principled learners. GCSE Exam Successes 2024
This year, Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy is celebrating the exceptional achievements of pupils across our Colleges. The excellent results have provided students with the foundation needed for the next steps in their academic journey, whether they continue at Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy in Woolf College or move on to new challenges at Sixth Form College.
The academy is pleased to report that ten subjects have achieved an average grade of 5 and above, reflecting the dedication and hard work of both pupils and staff. These subjects include biology, chemistry, religious education, physics, photography, media studies, music, art & design, design & technology, and psychology. Additionally, seven subjects have shown significant improvement on last year’s results, particularly in design & technology, business studies, media studies, biology, geography, physics, and photography.
4. Ambition Through Curriculum Choice
We offer one of the widest curriculum offers in the area, giving students meaningful choice and challenge as they progress through the school. At Key Stage 4, students can select from over 20 qualifications, including core academic subjects as well as specialist options like Acting (BTEC Performing Arts), Creative Media, Health & Fitness, Photography, and Statistics. At Key Stage 5, our Sixth Form offers over 20 A Levels, BTECs and T Levels, including subjects such as Law, Psychology, Computer Science, Politics, and specialist routes like T-Level Digital Production, T-Level Finance, and BTEC Health & Social Care. Whatever their interests or aspirations, our students are empowered to build a pathway that is right for them.

Learning at Leigh Stationers’ Academy extends far beyond the classroom. Our co-curricular programme is one of the most extensive in the region – offering an unparalleled range of clubs, sports, performing arts, enrichment activities, and educational visits.
