APPLY FOR A SECONDARY SCHOOL PLACE
There are 270 places available in Year 7 at Leigh Stationers’ Academy for September 2024. All children applying for a place at Leigh Stationers’ Academy are required to take a fair banding test, including siblings of students currently attending the academy. The applicants will be split into 5 equally sized bands based on their assessment results. Within each band our admission criteria will be applied as set out in our determined admission arrangements. This is to ensure that LSA has a comprehensive intake and children across the full ability range are admitted. It is not possible to pass or fail the test, but those not sitting the test at all, will only be prioritised after those children who have sat the test.

The deadline for submitting completed applications is January 31, 2025. All students are required to use the online application form for this purpose.
Upon receipt of your application, our Sixth Form team will conduct a formal admissions process. Conditional offers will be extended, contingent on the student’s predicted grades and selected courses at that time. It’s important to note that these offers may be adjusted in accordance with the student’s actual results.
Should you have any questions or require further information about the admissions process, please do not hesitate to contact us at admissions@stationers.latrust.org.uk.
Applications received after the January 31, 2025, deadline will still be processed, but students will be placed on a waiting list in cases where courses are oversubscribed.
In July 2025, we plan to host a Taster Event for all prospective Year 12 students. During this event, students will have the opportunity to experience life as a sixth form student at Woolf. They will attend lessons related to their interests, gain insight into our culture and ethos, and have the chance to interact with our staff and students.
In-Year Admissions
Applicants applying for a place at LSA need to apply directly to the Academy. The process regarding children admitted via Fair Access Panel will be in line with Greenwich Local Authority’s published arrangements.
Appeals
If you have not been offered a place following an in-year application, the law entitles you to appeal to an Independent Appeal Panel. This panel is completely independent of the school and the Local Authority. In accordance with the 2022 School Admission Appeals Code Appeals, the admission authority and panels have elected for all admissions appeals to be held online.
If you wish to appeal, please use this link to complete your appeal online. Please do NOT use ANY other appeal form or send your form to your local authority. It is highly recommended that you download the explanatory booklet about appeals which you should read before you complete the appeal form.
You should include any evidence or supporting material with your appeal form and you MUST state the grounds of your appeal at the time you lodge your appeal form. Your appeal form will not be accepted unless you give the grounds of your appeal. You may appeal for more than one school.
Please note that the online form will ask you to download two utility bills dated in the last THREE months. If you do not have access to a scanner, please take two photographs using a mobile phone and upload the photographic files.
