Caxton College Celebrates Success in End-of-Module Assembly
Caxton College marked the end of another successful module with a celebratory assembly on Wednesday, recognising student achievements in attendance, reading, merits, and leadership.
Outstanding Attendance Achievements
Caxtonians demonstrated a strong commitment to attendance, with 7CAX2, 8CAX1, 9CAX1 and 10CAX1 leading the way in their respective year groups. Notably, 213 students maintained attendance of 96% or higher, with 98 pupils achieving an impressive 100% attendance this term.
Top Readers Recognised
Students’ dedication to reading was highlighted through their Sparx reader points. 7CAX3, 8CAX1 and 9CAX3 are the leading tutor groups in their respective year groups so far this academic year. Special recognition was given to the leading reader in each tutor group:

These students achieved the highest reader points in their respective year groups, showcasing their enthusiasm for literacy. A special shout out goes out to Alice S who is our leading reader in the college with 15,452 Sparx reader points so far this year!
Celebrating Merit Achievements
Merit points have been awarded for exceptional effort and a positive attitude towards learning throughout the academic year so far. We are really proud of all pupils who have achieved such recognition. 7CAX3, 8CAX2, 9CAX1 and 10CAX1 are the leading tutor groups in their respective year groups so far this academic year. Caxton College Leadership Awards
The assembly also celebrated students who embodied key IB Learner Profile attributes. Teachers from Hansard College recognised students for characteristics such as being principled, reflective, and caring.
Head of College Award
At Caxton College, we are proud to celebrate the achievements of our pupils who exemplify our values of scholarship, leadership and leadership. This term, two exceptional pupils, Ivan and Alex, have both been nominated to receive Mr Smith’s prestigious Head of College award.
Ivan P (10CAX3) is a model student whose dedication to his studies and exemplary behaviour make him a standout member of our school community. With an impressive attendance record, Ivan works tirelessly to expand his knowledge, demonstrating a studious and determined approach to learning. Beyond his academic achievements, Ivan is a kind and empathetic young man, consistently supporting his peers and showcasing strong leadership qualities. His contributions enrich our school, and we are proud to have Ivan as part of Caxton College.
Alex D (7CAX1) is a kind, polite, and hardworking pupil whose positivity brightens every room he enters. During PGL, Alex stood out as a supportive and empathetic member of his group, taking risks, embracing challenges, and showing care for everyone around him. His ever-present smile and uplifting attitude bring happiness to those around him. Alex embodies the values we hold dear at Caxton College, and it is a pleasure to have him as part of our community.
Both Ivan and Alex are shining examples of the qualities we strive to nurture in our pupils, and we are thrilled to recognize their achievements. Congratulations to them both!
