Caxton College Celebrates Success in End-of-Module Assembly

Caxton College marked the end of another successful module with a celebratory assembly on Wednesday 21st May 2025, recognising student achievements in attendance, reading, merits, and leadership.

Outstanding Attendance Achievements

Caxton students demonstrated a strong commitment to attendance, with 7CAX1, 8CAX1, 9CAX1 and 10CAX3 leading the way in their respective year groups.

Top Readers Recognised

Students’ dedication to reading was highlighted through their Sparx Reader points. 7CAX3, 8CAX1 and 9ACAX3 are the leading tutor groups in their respective year groups so far this academic year. Special recognition was given to the leading reader in each tutor group:

Celebrating Merit Achievements

Merit points have been awarded for exceptional effort and a positive attitude towards learning throughout the academic year so far. We are really proud of all students who have achieved such recognition. 7CAX1, 8CAX3, 9CAX3 and 10CAX1 are the leading tutor groups in their respective year groups so far in this module. Caxton College Leadership Awards

The assembly also celebrated students who embodied key IB Learner Profile attributes. Teachers from Caxton College recognised students for characteristics such as being principled, reflective, and caring.

  • Alfie J (10CAX1) nominated by Mr Turan: Alfie always tries his best and is polite and enthusiastic. He participates actively and maintains a positive attitude.
  • Ronnie B (9CAX2) nominated by Ms Efford: Ronnie has shown maturity and positivity this year, earning many positive points and great feedback from staff.
  • Abhijot D (10CAX2) nominated by Ms Hamilton-Cox: Abhijot is always courteous and diligent. He is a pleasure to teach and a great example of a model learner.
  • Shayla G-H (9CAX3) nominated by Ms Blayney: Excellent improvement in attendance and punctuality. She now engages well and consistently works hard—great progress!
  • Urte A (10CAX2) nominated by Ms Hills: Urte has improved greatly, especially in Geography. She reflects on feedback and applies it to grow academically with impressive focus.
  • Albert R-M (9CAX3) nominated by Mrs Ruck: Albert approaches challenges positively and with empathy. His maturity and willingness to grow make him a strong academic and personal role model.
  • Leroy A (10CAX3) nominated by Ms Seamons: Leroy transitioned well into the Academy, using his communication skills to support others and promote positivity. A confident, mature role model.
  • Evie M (8CAX3) nominated by Ms Shead: Always striving to give her best and grow through challenges—consistently going above and beyond in all she does.
  • Elanur E (8CAX2) nominated by Ms Westray: For an amazing start at Caxton—your hard work and positive attitude have not gone unnoticed!
  • Sienna G (8CAX1) nominated by Ms Campbell: Sienna has excellent attendance and behaviour. She is kind, positive, and consistently makes a great impression.

Head of College Award

The Head of College Award recognises a pupil who has demonstrated exceptional commitment, positive behaviour, and contribution to their college community. This term, the award goes to Arda B for his dedication across all subjects. Mr Smith, Head of Caxton College, praised Arda’s achievements, saying:

Arda has fantastic attendance, a brilliant attitude and an impressive number of positive behaviour points throughout this academic year. Well done Arda!
