Dear SCWA Community,
As the first week of module five comes to an end, our dedication to nurturing scholars and leaders is more apparent than ever. This week, we celebrated the successful start of our public examinations, receiving excellent feedback on the GCSE Drama practical and GCSE PE moderation. As we prepare for next week’s GCSE French Speaking and BTEC Performing Arts exams, we remain confident in our students’ preparations and commend their scholarly dedication.
I am delighted with the engagement of our Year 9 families as the deadline for Key Stage Four options approaches. Making informed educational choices is vital, and we are committed to supporting you throughout this process. Additionally, our Year 10 and Year 12 students are actively securing work experience placements, an initiative that prepares them for future careers and instils a strong sense of responsibility.
I wish all our students the best of luck in their forthcoming exams and look forward to another successful week.
Best wishes,
Joseph Sparks | Principal, Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy

Update on Year 9 Options
Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy would like to remind parents and carers of Year 9 pupils that the deadline to submit key stage four option preferences is rapidly approaching on Monday, 22 April 2024. For those who have requested a consultation meeting, please note that correspondence has been sent out this week.In order to provide more comprehensive responses during our consultation meetings, we have decided to wait until after Monday’s deadline to begin scheduling these discussions. This approach will allow us to finalise the subject groupings based on the submitted preferences. Consultation meetings will then be arranged to discuss available subjects within each option block, ensuring that parents and carers are fully informed about the choices available. Please rest assured that there will be an opportunity to make amendments to your child’s option choices during the consultation meetings. We understand the importance of these decisions and are committed to supporting you and your child in making informed selections for their Key Stage 4 education.
