Hansard College Celebrates Success in End-of-Module Assembly 

Hansard College marked the end of another successful module with a celebratory assembly on Thursday 13th February, recognising student achievements in attendance, reading, merits, and leadership.

Outstanding Attendance Achievements

Hansard pupils demonstrated a strong commitment to attendance, with 7HAN1 & HAN2, 8HAN3, 9HAN3 and 10HAN1 leading the way in their respective year groups. 

Top Readers Recognised

Students’ dedication to reading was highlighted through their Sparx reader points. 7HAN3, 8HAN3 and 9AHAN2 are the leading tutor groups in their respective year groups so far this academic year. Special recognition was given to the leading reader in each tutor group:

A special shout out goes out to Peter P who is our leading reader in the college with 306,074 Sparx Reader Points so far this year!

Celebrating Merit Achievements

Merit points have been awarded for exceptional effort and a positive attitude towards learning throughout the academic year so far. We are really proud of all pupils who have achieved such recognition. 7HAN2, 8HAN3, 9HAN2 and 10HAN2 are the leading tutor groups in their respective year groups so far this academic year. Special recognition for Elsa C who has the highest Module 3 merit points in the college with an impressive M3 tally of 87 points!

Hansard College Leadership Awards

The assembly also celebrated students who embodied key IB Learner Profile attributes. Teachers from Hansard College recognised students for characteristics such as being principled, reflective, and caring.

  • Connell F (9HAN3) nominated by Ms Edwards: Connell consistently shows a principled approach, earning positive points and recognition as a caring, inquisitive student.
  • Joseph M (7HAN3) nominated by Ms Jess: Joseph’s enthusiasm for learning stands out. He takes risks, answers challenging questions, and enriches discussions with knowledge gained outside the classroom.
  • Nathaniel R (9HAN2) nominated by Ms Penney: Nathaniel excels in communication, listening attentively, asking thoughtful questions, and balancing academics with active school participation.
  • Isaac J (8HAN1) nominated by Ms Atkinson: Isaac is a hardworking, conscientious student who takes risks academically while being a caring community member.
  • Aimee G (9HAN1) nominated by Ms Hutchinson: Aimee is a principled learner, respectful and dedicated, balancing academics and school life effectively.
  • John R (10HAN2) nominated by Ms Norton: John is a reflective learner, evaluating his progress thoughtfully and embracing challenges with determination.
  • Kernius P (10HAN2) nominated by Ms Saggu: Kernius has shown a principled attitude in Year 10, remaining open-minded to new experiences.
  • Caylan T (9HAN2) nominated by Ms Range: Caylan is determined, dedicated, and a positive influence, always striving for academic success.

Hansard Head of College Award

The Head of College Award recognises a pupil who has demonstrated exceptional commitment, positive behaviour, and contribution to their college community. This term, the award goes to Sophie for her work ethic and attendance. Mr Flower, Head of Hansard College, praised her achievements, saying:

‘Sophia has had an incredible start to life at Leigh Stationers’ Academy with 100% attendance, no negative logs and one of the highest positive points in Hansard. Her balanced perspective of all aspects of life at LSA alongside her hard working attitude and positive outlook make her a joy to have in Hansard.’
