At Leigh Stationers’ Academy, we want every student to feel supported, confident and able to succeed both in school and beyond. Growing up can bring new challenges, and it is normal to experience moments where things feel difficult, confusing or overwhelming.

The Student Support Toolkit brings together a range of guides designed to help you understand common experiences such as anxiety, friendships, motivation, sleep and managing schoolwork. The resources aim to explain things clearly and offer practical strategies that can help you feel more in control and confident in managing everyday situations.

You may not need these guides all the time, but they are here if you want to understand something better, learn new ways to manage challenges, or find out where you can get support.

Remember that you do not have to deal with difficult situations on your own. If something is affecting your wellbeing, learning or relationships, you can speak to a trusted adult in school.

The aim of these resources is to help you build the skills, confidence and resilience that will support you both during your time at the Academy and in the future.

Everyone experiences times when things feel stressful, confusing or overwhelming. Learning how to understand your emotions and look after your wellbeing is an important part of growing up and managing school life.

The resources in this section are designed to help students recognise common challenges such as exam pressure, anxiety, tiredness or difficult life events. Each guide explains what these experiences might feel like and shares simple strategies that can help you stay calm, focused and supported.

The aim is not to remove challenges completely, but to help you build the confidence and skills to manage them in a healthy way. If something starts to feel too difficult, remember that support is always available through the pastoral team and other trusted adults in school.
